This website is dedicated to the history of Parkwood Street in Springfield's Forest Park District. Parkwood Street is one block east of Trinity Church, and is just outside of the Forest Park Heights historic district. Parkwood Street was once a beautiful street, and its proximity to the park makes it a beautiful place to live. As my husband and I renovate our own house on this street, we hope to find out more about the history of the area.
