Welcome! This is a website that everyone can build together. It's easy!

Parkwood Street History HomeThis is a featured page

37 Parkwood StreetThis website is dedicated to the history of Parkwood Street in Springfield's Forest Park District. Parkwood Street is one block east of Trinity Church, and is just outside of the Forest Park Heights historic district. Parkwood Street was once a beautiful street, and its proximity to the park makes it a beautiful place to live. As my husband and I renovate our own house on this street, we hope to find out more about the history of the area.

Please feel free to contribute to this site. We would all love to see any pictures you may have of our street, or even Forest Park in general. Just send me (LaurenElisabeth) a message from my profile page and I will make you an editor on the site so you can add your own information. You can also send me information and pictures directly and I will post them for you.

Also, check out the sister website, Forest Park History. That website will be focused on the history of the district, and you can always add information to either one.

I hope this can become a forum for discussion and research, so check back frequently and share any information you have on the history of the area with your neighbors in Forest Park!
